Back in Texas

I’m back in the Lone Star State. This time to stay for a bit longer than last time. There’s a fierce lightening storm outside my hotel window. I can see the flashes reflect on the pool water, feel the thunder reverberate through the wall and in my room. My car, my new baby (more on that in a different post), is safe under carport. I’ve heard too many stories of baseball-sized hail to risk keeping it in the lot. The sky has turned from a baby blue to an inky midnight within minutes, something that I’m not used to. The weatherman who keeps interrupting the regularly scheduled programming on television warns of danger and reports 101,000 lightening strikes in the last hour.

Welcome to Texas.
