Tweet for Prizes

While reading the Wall Street Journal, I came across this article. It addresses the evolution of contests, business, and technology and the success of London-based Moonfruit, a web-site building company had in combining all of them. In June 2009, the firm used Twitter to announce a contest it was having. Prizes included high-quality Apple items such as computers and cell phones. The article later cites other examples of small businesses using Twitter to build a brand following.

Honestly, it makes sense. If people are willing to allow even more access into their lives, there isn’t any reason not to take advantage of it. So. If you feeling following another person, try me. But be warned, I’m not giving away luxury items, stock options, or anything other a few moments of entertainment.
